#1 Dual-Wield
Dual-Wield & Rapid Fire: "This is one of the best ways to bring out a physical fighter's damage dealing potential!"
Dual-Wield & Two-Handed: "They are so powerful they only need to be offensive units, give them the option to deal super damage."

#2 Spellblade
Spellblade & Lance: "Dragoons + Spellblade = Awesomeness"
Spellblade & Rapid Fire: "The combination allows you to do significant damage if you have high-level spells unlocked."

#3 Counter
Counter & Spellblade: "These skills make the most sense without too much overlap of other jobs."
Counter & First Strike: "Because the advantages in playing order are very important."

And the most popular ability to pair with Dual-Wield, the ability that took top place, was Counter! Double weapons, plus the potential to attack even when it's not your turn―you'd definitely have an advantage in battle with that combination. FFV's job system allowed the player to assign various jobs to party members, but there was also a special freelancer job which gained power based on how many other jobs that character masters. Freelancers also have the unique option to assign two abilities to a character instead of just the usual one.
